Dr. Asghar Ali

Ph.D , James Cook University, Australia (2010) in Tectonics, structure Geology, Metamorphism, Geochronology and Petrology.

Research Interest:  My research interests are in structural geology (micro-scale to macro-scale structures associated with cyclic orogenic events), metamorphic geology and tectonics. I am interested in applications of foliation intersection/inflection axes (FIAs) preserved in porphyroblasts to understand a very complex history of multiply deformed rocks.
